Dr Marcus Tan

General Physician and Nephrologist
Marcus consults many of our patients to ensure that they are medically well and prepared for surgery. He is also involved in patients’ peri-operative care to facilitate a comfortable hospital admission and smooth recovery from surgery.
Dr Alister Ford

Anaesthetist
Alister graduated from Monash University in 1999 and has extensive experience working in orthopaedic procedures in hospitals throughout Melbourne. Alister has worked with Mr Patten for many years and routinely anaesthetises patients undergoing major complex surgery.
Dr Hannah Barker

Anaesthetist
Hannah graduated from University of London in 1995 and obtained Fellowships with both the Royal College of Anaesthetists in the United Kingdom, and the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists following her move to Melbourne. Hannah has recently completed her Masters of Peri-Operative Medicine at Monash University.

Michael graduated from The University of Melbourne in 1993 and completed his Fellowship at The Alfred Hospital and Royal Women’s Hospital, where he has held public appointments as a consultant anaesthetist since 2005.

Dr Surjit Lidder
Surgical Assistant
Surjit is a fully qualified orthopaedic surgeon in England, having been admitted to The Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2008. He moved to Australia in 2017 to undertake his fellowship in arthroplasty and pelvic trauma at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. Surjit regularly assists several orthopaedic surgeons and is actively involved in orthopaedic research.

Dr Bao Nguyen
Surgical Assistant
Bao graduated from The University of Melbourne in 1997 and began his orthopaedic training at St Vincent’s Hospital from 2000-2002. During this time, Bao was heavily involved in elective hip and knee replacement surgery, as well as tumour reconstructive surgery. Since then, he elected to pursue a career as an orthopaedic surgical assistant.
Dr Tim Harris

Tim has been working full-time as an orthopaedic surgical assistant since 2003 and has worked with Mr Patten since 2005, giving him a wealth of knowledge and experience in orthopaedic procedures.
